Woodland for Water

Spring is on its way and probably the last thing you are thinking about is planting trees for next winter.

The new woodland creation grant that opened on the 17th February 2015 has been targeted at reducing flood risk and surface water pollution.

To date George Dodds & Co are working with four landowners to develop applications before an initial March 31st 2015 cut-off date.  If Defra / Forestry Commission receive the applications before this date then the landowner can take advantage monetary support for the application.  Minimum application size is 3 ha and applications can only be developed where there are either ELS/UELS or no agri-environment schemes in place.  Please give me a ring if you would like further details.
